The Career Employees' Council (CEC) is the representative voice for the Career employees of FSCJ, with the goal to be committed to the continuous development of a collaborative work environment whereby the value and respect of Career employees are elevated through increased recognition, involvement and opportunities to achieve a higher degree of excellence. In this spirit, we put a "spotlight" on one of our members each month.

January’s Career Employees' Council (CEC) Spotlight illuminates eLearning Multimedia Specialist Devin Pierce.

She has worked at FSCJ for two years, beginning as an intern, then contractor and is currently an eLearning Multimedia Specialist. The role of a Multimedia Specialist is to design graphics, create video and audio, and create content accessible to all learners and learning styles. Devin works with subject matter experts (S.M.E.) and instructional designers to create content, graphics, video and audio for online and hybrid courses.

Collaborating with her team and others at FSCJ, she enjoys learning new media styles, creating graphics and building media to meet ADA compliance. She meets the objectives of the CEC by working with groups and organizations when they call for volunteers. She has become an asset to Deerwood Center by assisting with various events. Devin is open to new tasks and seeks to interact more with the faculty.

Devin is a graduate of Pensacola State and FSCJ with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Digital Media. Devin is an excellent asset to her community as a YMCA basketball coach for a team that includes her daughters and as a mentor to other groups. She and her husband are active in a Jacksonville park and recreation community. When she is not working, she engages in photography, a skill she delved into as a student at FSCJ. She enjoys hosting family, friends and her child's friends in her home. She is fond of cooking and spending time with her family.
