FSCJ Baseball Closes Out a Successful Season

FSCJ's Baseball team finished an incredible 2022 season with a third-place finish at the NJCAA Division II World Series in Enid, Oklahoma
FSCJ's Baseball team finished an
incredible 2022 season with a third-place finish at the NJCAA Division
II World Series in Enid, Oklahoma. FSCJ went 3-2 at the national
tournament, beating Phoenix College, Lansing Community College and
losing to the eventual national champion, Pearl River Community College.
This team certainly left its mark in
Enid, earning the team sportsmanship award and becoming the "fan
favorite," as donned by the local media.
From this team, three players were
named to the All-Conference/All-Region team, seventeen sophomores will
be moving on to universities to continue their careers, while a core
group of freshman will return next year looking to repeat a World Series
appearance.
In the most successful season since
2000, this year's FSCJ Baseball team claimed the Region 8 Championship,
the South Atlantic District Championship and advanced to the program's
fourth World Series appearance. The final record for the 2021-22 team
was 33-21.
