The Center for Civic Engagement recently launched Service Learning Fridays, a theme-based approach to service learning at various local organizations.

These service learning opportunities are designed to address the most challenging issues facing our community such as food security, affordable housing, human trafficking and gender equality, literacy and early learning, and confronting opioid addiction, among others.

Faculty will have the opportunity to choose a service opportunity as a class experience and/or to provide information for students to sign up for service individually. Faculty and students can also view information about scheduled Service Learning Friday events on FSCJ’s Calendar of Events and search for "Service Learning Fridays." Each event posting will include an Eventbrite link to register.
