On Feb. 2, FSCJ and community partners including the Jacksonville Dental Society, hosted Give Kids A Smile Day and Community Wellness Event at North Campus. More than 240 children received free dental screenings on the Colgate van and 230 were provided free services in the dental clinic.

This event was made possible by countless volunteers including 40 local dentists, 30 hygienists and FSCJ health science program students who were also on hand to help. Families also had the opportunity to receive blood glucose testing, school and athletic physicals and vision screenings, where 67 people had their vision checked and 16 were referred to Vision is Priceless for possible eye exams and glasses.
