How may I finish my degree more quickly and get experience for what I already know?

A variety of methods are available to students who wish to receive their degree or certificate in less than the usual two calendar years. The opportunities for time-shortened degrees at Florida State College at Jacksonville include the following:

• take advanced placement courses while in high school
• participate in the international baccalaureate program while in high school
• take dual enrollment courses while in high school
• take CLEP, CCCE, Excelsior or DSST examinations at Florida State College at Jacksonville
• receive credit for what you already know through Credit for Prior Learning
• submit your military “ smart transcript” for evaluation (select the appropriate service branch box)
• submit your currently held certification or license for evaluation
