GED® Computer-Based Test

GED® and GED Testing Service® are registered trademarks of the American Council on Education (ACE). They may not be used or reproduced without the express written permission of ACE or GED Testing Service®. The GED® and GED Testing Service® brands are administered by GED Testing Service LLC under license from the American Council on Education.

You can sign up for the test by calling the Pearson Vue Call Center at 1-(877) 392-6433, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., CST.

You can also sign up by using the online GED Testing Service® registration tool. Once you create an account and register, you can schedule the test at one of our campuses/centers.

The computer-based GED® test costs $32 per subtest or $128 total when taking all four subtests. The testing fee is paid when you first register for the test, either online or over the phone. Currently there are discounted rates for the second or third attempts of any module. Please contact Pearson VUE for additional information.

In order to determine when the computer-based GED® test is offered, candidates must go to www.GEDcomputer.com. Candidates will be able to see the times available at each campus/center when they register to take the test at that location.

On the day of the test, candidates will need to bring a valid form of a picture ID such as: driver’s license, Florida ID, military ID, passport, or other government-issued ID. The ID must include name, address, birth date, signature and photograph to be accepted.

The GED® Preparation program at FSCJ offers classes to help prepare candidates to take the GED® test. These classes are offered at Downtown Campus, North Campus, South Campus, and the Cecil Center and cost $30 per semester for qualifying Florida residents.

GED® practice tests are also available and can be purchased online.

The Spanish language edition of the computer-based GED® test is available for candidates. The French language edition is in development and will be available at a future date.

¿Cómo me matriculo por el examen GED® en español?

Para poder matricularse por el examen GED®, es necesario asistir a una sesión de orientación de sesenta (60) a noventa (90) minutos, la cual se ofrece sólo por cita en el Downtown Campus. Si necesita un traductor durante la sesión, favor de enviar un correo electrónico a: pruebaenespanol@fscj.edu. Así podemos hacer los arreglos para que haya un traductor presente. Recibirá notificación con la fecha y hora de la disponibilidad del traductor.
