JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) will hold live, virtual events to help new and interested students as they prepare to enter college. Form Your Future and the Virtual Open House events will cover a variety of topics from safety measures to financial aid and scholarships.

The first live, virtual event, Form Your Future, Jump-start to College, will be held on Thursday, July 23 at 6 p.m. In partnership with Earn Up/JAXUSA, the University of North Florida, Duval County Public Schools, Nassau County School District, Year Up Jacksonville, and City Year Jacksonville, Form Your Future is designed to help students prepare for the transition to college.

Virtual attendees will:

  • Discover how to select the right college
  • Identify scholarship opportunities
  • Learn how to pay for college
  • Hear from student panels
  • Explore work-based learning experiences

Attendees can access the event at fscj.edu/future on Thursday, July 23 at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, July 25 at 10 a.m., the College is hosting a Virtual Open House to help incoming and future students learn about FSCJ’s academic programs, admissions information and valuable tips to help prepare for college in the fall.

FSCJ President John Avendano, Ph.D., and other College leaders will share updates on the upcoming term, including safety measures being taken to help maintain the wellbeing of our students, faculty, staff and community. Participants will learn about the application and admissions process, advising options, individual students’ success stories and how to make the most of their own college experience. Admissions representatives will also be in attendance to share more helpful information, interact with event participants and answer any questions they may have.

Register to attend and learn more at visit.fscj.edu.
