FSCJ’s 2020 Author Series Welcomes Craig and Fred Grossi, of “Craig & Fred: A Marine, a Stray Dog and How they Rescued Each Other”

WHAT:           Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) will welcome Craig Grossi and his dog, Fred, for the 2020 Author Series, an annual event that engages students in a learning community around a published memoir. Grossi is the author of this year’s featured work, “Craig & Fred: A Marine, a Stray Dog and How they Rescued Each Other.”

“Craig & Fred,” is the uplifting and unforgettable true story of Craig, an eight-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Fred, the stray dog he met on an Afghan battlefield, and how they saved each other. They now travel America together, “spreading the message of stubborn positivity.”

Craig and Fred will visit FSCJ’s South Campus on March 4, 2020, to speak on the memoir and sign copies of the book. The two will also visit FSCJ’s Kent Campus on March 5, 2020, with the same presentation. Both events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required but seating is on a first come, first served basis.
