FSCJ Welcomes New Associate Vice President for Workforce Education and Economic Development

Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) welcomes Linda Woodard as its new associate vice president for workforce education and economic development.

Ms. Woodard has more than 20 years of experience in workforce and career development including outreach and recruitment, job placement, retention services, employer engagement, resource development and grants management.

As associate vice president for workforce education and economic development, Ms. Woodard will provide oversight for postsecondary adult vocational, associate in applied science, associate in science and technical certificate award programs, in addition to all continuing workforce education programs offered through corporate and/or contract training. She will also serve as a liaison with the business community to promote and facilitate responsiveness to local and regional employment needs.

“Given FSCJ’s laser focus on workforce and economic development for Florida’s Northeast Region, we are thrilled to announce that Linda Woodard has joined the FSCJ leadership as associate vice president for workforce education and economic development,” said Florida State College at Jacksonville President Dr. Cynthia Bioteau. “The continued growth of our local economy lends to our need to educate and train our students with the specific skills and talent that match the demands of our community. Ms. Woodard will be an integral part to developing growing partnerships with our businesses and stakeholders, having demonstrated excellence in these areas in her previous role for Cuyahoga CC in Cleveland, Ohio.”

Prior to joining FSCJ, Ms. Woodard served as the vice president, external relations and funding in the workforce division of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C). 

Ms. Woodard holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Business Management. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Education in Community College Leadership from the National American University’s Roueche Graduate Center with an expected graduation date of December 2016.

Ms. Woodard began her role as the associate vice president for workforce education and economic development on June 10, 2015.
