Vistakon Expansion Project

President Bioteau joined Governor Rick Scott, Representative Lake Ray, Mayor Lenny Curry, University of North Florida (UNF) President John Delaney and dozens of others in the community for the announcement of the Vistakon expansion project.
Vistakon General Manager Tim Ryan announced the company is implementing a $300 million expansion to its contact lens plant in Jacksonville. The expansion will bring 100 new jobs to the area.
During the press event, both FSCJ and UNF were praised for our contributions in providing advanced training to adequately prepare the workforce to fill and succeed in high-tech jobs such as these.
FSCJ is proud to contribute to the economic development and workforce training in the Jacksonville community and prepare students with the necessary hands-on training and skills to excel in the field.
