Urban Education Symposium Focused On The Role Of Religion In Student Success

From WJCT 89.9 First Coast Connect, Jan. 28, 2014: Jacksonville's 6th Annual Urban Education Symposium, a major initiative to reverse the high school drop out rates for the city’s black male students, is set for this weekend. Dr. Barbara Darby [Florida State College at Jacksonville North Campus president] and Pastor Mark Griffin [Wayman Ministries] are part of the group of educators and activists behind the event. They joined Melissa Ross for a preview.

Please note: The February 1, 2014 Symposium takes place at Jacksonville Public Library Main Branch, 303 N. Laura Street.
