The company is implementing a $300-million expansion to its contact lens plant in Jacksonville that will add an additional 100 jobs. It also received $98 million in city and state tax relief.

Scott praised local educational institutions for providing a highly-trained talent pool that providse workers who are ready to handle the high-tech jobs. Scott gave particular praise to both FSCJ and the University of North Florida for training the workforce.

The press conference and event took place in a warehouse for Johnson & Johnson at 7500 Centurion Parkway, in Jacksonville.
