Monday Editorial: FSCJ wins grant for STEM programs

Congratulations to Florida State College at Jacksonville for winning a major grant to support its STEM programs.

The college received the three-year grant — valued at close to $300,000 — from the National Science Foundation as part of the foundation’s undergraduate science, technology, engineering and math education program.

FSCJ will use the money to craft study programs and strategies for students in several courses, including College Algebra, Earth &Space Science, Introduction to General Chemistry and Introduction to Engineering.
