TU: 'Debt-Free' College Sessions at FSCJ

Parents and students can learn about gaining two years of debt-free college through Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Promise program at five upcoming information sessions on FSCJ campuses.

College representatives will give details of the program and help students and parents apply for it and financial aid. They’ll also run labs to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Those interested should register at visit fscj.edu/promise and pick a session to attend.

Then, they should bring to the session a Social Security number, driver’s license or alien registration card as well as a completed 2015 IRS 1040 tax return; W-2 statements; and a Federal Student Aid ID, which they can create online at fsaid.ed.gov.

The first session is Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at FSCJ’s Advanced Technology Center, 401 West State Street.

The next sessions are Tuesday, April 11, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at FSCJ’s Kent Campus, 3939 Roosevelt Blvd. and at FSCJ’s South Campus,11901 Beach Blvd.

The following week sessions are on Tuesday, April 18, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at FSCJ’s North Campus, 4501 Capper Road and at

FSCJ’s Deerwood Center, 9911 Old Baymeadows Road.
