Let’s give an approving tip of the toothbrush to Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Dental Hygiene program for its annual Mighty Teeth Day, during which FSCJ dental hygienists apply fluoride varnish to the teeth of area elementary school children.

Let’s give an approving tip of the toothbrush to Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Dental Hygiene program for its annual Mighty Teeth Day, during which FSCJ dental hygienists apply fluoride varnish to the teeth of area elementary school children.

During this year’s event, 65 pupils from Duval and Nassau counties received the fluoride varnish, which has been proven to help strengthen teeth and prevent dental decay.

In addition to getting the dental care — which was free of charge — the children also received tips on keeping their teeth healthy.

And they also participated in games and activities organized as part of FSCJ North campus’ Family Literary Fair.

Cheers to FSCJ’s Dental Hygiene program for taking part in this worthy effort!
