TU: Arts Notes: 'The American Dream' will be performed at Kent Campus and the Cummer

“The American Dream,†which its author, Harolyn Sharpe, describes as a one-hour presentation using prose, drama, live and recorded music and screen images of paintings and photographs to reveal America’s history of “getting the dream, losing the dream,†will be performed Monday and Tuesday.

Monday’s performance will be at 11 a.m. in the F-129 Auditorium on Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Kent Campus, where Sharpe is a professor of speech. Tuesday’s performance will be at 7 p.m. at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, 829 Riverside Ave.
Admission to both performances is free, as is admission to the Cummer from 4 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday.
