FSCJ NAME

Leave it alone

Higher education is faced with increasing costs, decline in enrollment, adapting to technological advances and adapting to student needs.

In addition, changes in our state’s focus on higher education required changes in former “community colleges” to meet demands for four-year degrees, as well as certificate programs.

At this point in time, neither the state nor the college need to assume this cost.

Energy, in all forms, needs to be focused on meeting the demands of the students, faculty, administration and marketplace.

Florida State College at Jacksonville provides quality education for our students. FSCJ serves both in-state and out-of-state students and continues to meet the changing demands of the marketplace, working hand-in-hand with business and industry.

Let the name of FSCJ and other Florida state colleges stand as they are.
