"Race has barely been alluded to in the trial of Michael Dunn." Outside the courtroom it's a different story. FSCJ Political Science Professor Marcella Washington addresses the question of whether race played a role in the death of Jordan Davis.

Times-Union Reporter Matt Soergel asked a range  of community members, including Florida State College at Jacksonville Political Science Professor Marcella Washington, their opinions on what may have been the motivation for the accused 47-year-old white Michael Dunn to have shot and killed 17-year-old black Jordan Davis in a convenience store parking lot altercation over loud music coming from the vehicle Davis sat in with three other black youths.
