There are many benefits to living and working in the River City.  According to the local business community, it is a great place to start your own small venture.  Dr. Carlton Robinson, the executive director of the JAX Chamber’s Entrepreneurial Growth Division, says there are tons of resources and plenty of support.  Another plus is that within our region we don’t have one dominate industry.

Florida State College at Jacksonville can help you become a small business owner.  Students can take classes in marketing and accounting; plus they’ll learn how to develop a business plan.
