We have wonderful shows coming to the Times-Union Center this month, and most of them have special ticket discounts for FSCJ staff and students.

Broadway’s longest-running musical revue, Smokey Joe’s Café, The Songs of Leiber and Stoller, will be performed this Thursday, December 4. Broadway’s award-winning Pippin choreographer, Chet Walker, choreographed and directed this tour, featuring the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame group, The Coasters. Among the songs in the musical are ”Love Potion #9,” “On Broadway,” “Hound Dog,” “Spanish Harlem,” “Stand By Me,” ”Fools Fall in Love” and many more.

Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage makes its Broadway in Jacksonville premiere next week. This stage musical of the worldwide smash-hit film plays from Tuesday, December 9 through Sunday, December 14 for eight performances only. This timeless love story explodes with heart-pounding music, passionate romance and sensational dancing and features the hit songs “Hungry Eyes,” “Do You Love Me?” and “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life.”
