PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT: Smoke on the Water

The Maritime Firefighting Simulator is the latest addition to the Fire Academy at Florida State College at Jacksonville.
It’s a 1.38 million dollar facility completed in August of 2010. It offers an opportunity for firefighters to have the latest in training when tackling fires on the water. The simulator recreates the entire body of a ship, from its narrow stairways to its deep engine room. Want to turn up the heat?
