Pain at the Pump--Consumer Woes Over Gasoline Prices

WTLV reporter Caitlin Ross caught up Professor Susan Reilly in Riverside for an economist's expert opinion on how gasoline prices can effect consumer spending habits. Although Park Street was busy with traffic and people were enjoying dinner out at restaurants, Reilly points out that many consumers will have to adapt their budgets to accommodate the cost of fuel. While Reilly says it's hard to predict the tipping point [for the nation as a whole], some of the people Ross talked to at the gas pump earlier in the day felt that their tipping point was not too far around the bend as gas prices seem to be climbing daily.
