The National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education (ATE) program recently announced that FSCJ will receive a grant award of $819,979 for the "iNoVATE Expansion Project (iNoVATE-X)."

This project will build upon the successful work of the ATE iNoVATE Network Virtualization grant at the Advanced Technology Center.

This new project, iNoVATE-X, will develop needed curriculum for the Network Enterprise Administration college credit certificate framework and improve accessibility of technician education in Florida’s rural and underserved counties. iNoVATE-X will create online curriculum for five courses that align to the Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert certification, along with two additional courses, Virtual Internship and Virtual Capstone.

FSCJ will lead the project in conjunction with partners Daytona State College, Eastern Florida State College, Seminole State College, Tallahassee Community College, colleges serving Florida’s rural and underserved areas (College of Central Florida in Ocala, Florida Gateway College in Lake City and Florida Keys Community College), the ATE National Center for Convergence Technology (CTC), Workforce Development Boards and 14 IT industry partners. The project period is three years, beginning October 1, 2015.
