Chef Grayson Schmitz visited Florida State College at Jacksonville's North Campus to work with Culinary Arts program students preparing 400 meatballs for a fundraiser later that evening.

Florida State College Foundation and the Jacksonville Public Library partnered to launch the “My Favorite Cookbook” event to benefit FSCJ’s Culinary program.  The inaugural event on Sept. 18 featured popular celebrity chef Grayson Schmitz – a fan favorite from Bravo’s Top Chef Texas.
The kick-off at the Jacksonville Public Library’s Main Library included a private reception with Foundation donors, sponsors and ticketed guests. The reception featured the opportunity to  meet Schmitz, who worked with FSCJ Culinary Program students to create a signature dish inspired by her favorite cookbook, The Joy of Cooking.
