Government Shutdown: What Does it Mean?

In the days before the threatened government shutdown in April 2011, FSCJ Political Science Professor Doug Kuberski gives his take on the possible effects, immediate and long-term.
Of course, the shutdown did not occur, but what was at stake and was there anything to be gained? "They're almost being forced into a corner. It may be worse for the country but good for their career and party," said Dr. Kuberski regarding the politics surrounding the possible shutdown.
