FSCJ Athletes Named to NJCAA All-Academic Teams

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Twenty-five student-athletes from Florida State College at Jacksonville’s (FSCJ) BlueWave Athletics program have earned placement on the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Teams for the 2019-20 academic year. Student-athletes are eligible to earn this academic honor by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher, with 9 of FSCJ’s honorees earning a perfect 4.0 GPA for the academic year.

NJCAA All-Academic First Team (4.0 GPA)

  • John Bear (men’s cross country)
  • Jordan Briones (baseball) - Briones was recently also named the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA)/Region VIII Male Scholar Athlete of the Year.
  • Jana Cuk (volleyball)
  • Hannah Dugan (softball)
  • Sam Jackson (men’s basketball)
  • Macy Mizell (softball)
  • Leah Mortensen (volleyball)
  • Breanna Swanson (softball)

NJCAA All-Academic Second Team (3.80-3.99 GPA):

NJCAA All-Academic Third Team (3.60-3.79 GPA):
