FSCJ to Host Rocky Mountain Deaf Theater

The Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) Sign Language Interpretation program, with the support of Kent Campus and South Campus Student Life and Leadership, The Independent Living Resource Center and Sorenson Communications, will host a performance by the Rocky Mountain Deaf Theater.
WHAT: The Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) Sign Language Interpretation program, with the support of Kent Campus and South Campus Student Life and Leadership, The Independent Living Resource Center and Sorenson Communications, will host a performance by the Rocky Mountain Deaf Theater. The theater will perform “Six Women in Search of a Perfect Play” at the Nathan H. Wilson Center and Kent Campus Main Theater. Voice interpretation in English will be provided.

In addition to this performance, FSCJ students in the drama and interpreting programs at South Campus will be invited to participate in a workshop focusing on performing arts interpreting. This workshop will support a cross-discipline project where Sign Language Interpretation students, during their final internship, will provide sign language interpreting access to the spring performance of the dramaWORKS show “Moonchild.”
