FSCJ will be closed for spring break from Monday, March 17 – Sunday, March 23, 2025. We look forward to serving you when we return on March 24.
WHAT: Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of a new Medical Simulation Center, located at FSCJ North Campus.
The Medical Simulation Center will allow students in health programs the ability to gain hands-on experience through realistic patient care scenarios. Through simulation experiences, students will benefit from the trial and error learning opportunities which will maximize their learning. The new learning space was made possible through an appropriation of $2.2 million granted from the Florida legislature for fiscal year 2017 to address the state’s shortage of nursing professionals.
Prior to the ribbon cutting, attendees will also tour the newly designed Virtual Reality Medical Laboratory, where they will engage with the interactive systems that provide students with comprehensive health-related training.
