Local warriors, once again volunteering for service, are getting something in return.
Twenty-seven military men and women were treated to free dental care at Florida State College at Jacksonville.

In return, FSCJ dental students were able to practice their trade and hopefully get a good grade.

For Trinidad Aguirre, it wasn't just about getting his teeth cleaned.
"It makes you feel like someone cares and that's appreciated, you know," Aguirre said.

After 17 years as an army engineer, the last three spent in the hospital with service-related injuries, Aguirre left the service and saw his life collapse.

"In one day I was homeless, I was divorced, I lost my house, lost all my money, no career and I was living in a car for two months," Aguirre said.

But a friend reached out and offered a lifeline; Aguirre is now a Wounded Warrior Track student. Track is the first education center in the country designed to help vets learn a new trade and start a new civilian life.

"We're getting spoiled, it’s nice,” Aguirre said.
