WHAT: Florida State College at Jacksonville’s (FSCJ) Frisch Institute for Senior Care is hosting its third annual symposium with the goal to create a culture of excellence in geriatric education through an interprofessional approach.
Consisting of local health care professionals and students in nursing, allied health and massage therapy programs, the audience will learn about emerging advancements and interventions in geriatrics, the highly complex and specific demands of caring for the elderly and end-of-life care. Gerontology experts will share best practices to influence the quality of health care delivery and elevate the aging population’s quality of life.
M. Elaine Tagliareni, Ed.D., R.N., C.N.E., F.A.A.N. from the National League for Nursing (NLN) will serve as the keynote speaker and will present on the topic, “Providing Nursing Care to Older Adults: Are you Ready?”.
