The FSCJ Phi Theta Kappa-Upsilon Eta Chapter was recently identified as one of the Top 100 of more than 1,300 PTK international chapters at the PTK Annual Convention, “NerdNation,” held April 24-26 in Orlando. Upsilon Eta was also recognized in the Florida Region with the Distinguished College Project Award and the Distinguished Chapter Award.
“It was not only our officers, our advisors Lisa Westberry and Dr. Mary James, and our members who were responsible for our success this year,” said outgoing President Keith Walters, “but the tremendous support from our administration and faculty” played an important role in what was accomplished.

The PTK dissertation project “Competition for Food,” presented locally and in international competition at NerdNation, was fostered by Dr. Justin Bateh, Dr. J. Daniel Husband and J.R. Woodward, J.D.
Phi Theta Kappa is the honor society of two-year colleges, with chapters in all 50 states, U.S. territories and internationally.
