WHAT: Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ), in honor of Black History month, welcomes African American activist and feminist Dorothy Pitman Hughes to discuss her experiences as a Black woman in the feminist movement of the 1960s and 1970s.
She will discuss her work fighting sexism, racism and urban poverty in Harlem, New York and today in Jacksonville.
Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to attend this event.
