The Manufacturing Experience: A Woman’s Perspective, was held on June 4, in Orlando. Key female executives and leaders from Florida manufacturing participated in a discussion on key issues for women in the manufacturing industry.
As a member of the Florida TRADE Consortium, FSCJ is dedicated to assisting all students and has graduated 66 women locally. FSCJ’s training programs have prepared and assisted 32 of those graduates in gaining entry-level employment opportunities in the various trades. The grant is a pro-trade, pro-women statewide initiative designed to help more women get high-skill training with better access to entry-level jobs in manufacturing.
The Florida TRADE Consortium and FSCJ provides accelerated technical training programs that will assist graduates in finding employment as technicians CAD programmers and designers, machinists, mechanics and welders. FSCJ provides hands-on training by industry experts using the latest equipment designed to meet the needs of local business.
