FSCJ Counselor Incentive Scholarships

These future FSCJ students were nominated by their high school counselors for demonstrating the drive and determination necessary to succeed in their academic pursuits. FSCJ district and campus staff participated in the scholarship presentations at each high school’s senior awards ceremony.

“I was honored to give out the counselor incentive award! Have you met a person that worked so hard to get a good grade? They complete all their homework, turned down going out with friends to study for a test and after all that end up with a "B" as their final grade. While awards are always being presented for students with a 4.0 or a student with an athletic ability, we tend to miss the average Joe that works just as hard. They may not be your 4.0 student but they have so much potential and a lot of heart. I am glad that the counselors were allowed to hand pick the students that do the right thing every day but often times doesn't get a lot of recognition. It means the world to these students that through their struggle, someone is paying attention.”
