FSCJ College Goal Sunday helps students prepare for college financially

Florida State College at Jacksonville collaborates with local colleges, universities and school districts on the Seventh Annual College Goal Sunday, an event that gives financial aid information and thousands of dollars in scholarships to prospective students.

Florida State College at Jacksonville Director of Recruitment Kevin Cotton appeared on WJXT's The Morning Show to talk about the benefits of attending College Goal Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, in locations in Duval and Nassau counties. Parents and prospective students will learn the details of applying for federal financial aid, get help completing financial aid forms and federal income tax forms--necessary to apply for federal financial aid--and even have the chance to win some of thousands of dollars in free scholarships just for attending. College Goal Sunday is a national event being sponsored locally by FSCJ, University of North Florida, Jacksonville University, Edward Waters College, Duval County Public Schools, Nassau County Public Schools.
