FSCJ and DCPS to Offer Spring Into Success Event

WHAT: Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) and Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) have partnered to offer Spring Into Success, a college and career planning event, for area high school students and their parents and guardians.

The program will feature financial aid information and assistance, career exploration opportunities, college application support, as well student- and graduate-panel discussions on their own first-hand experiences with the financial aid process. Information on scholarships and learn-and-earn opportunities will also be available.

Event partners also include City Year, the SOAR School Counseling Program at the University of North Florida and Year Up Jacksonville.

Attendees should bring the following items to ensure they are able to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):

• Verified FSA ID - To create one, visit fsaid.ed.gov
• Student and guardian Social Security Numbers
• Driver’s license or alien registration card
• 2016 IRS 1040, latest tax return and W-2 statements (for guardians and student if applicable)
