FSCJ and DCPS Partner for Pre-Early College program

The Pre-Early College program will be piloted at eleven middle schools offering advanced students an opportunity to earn a minimum of three high school credits, as well as three college credits while in middle school. Beginning in seventh grade, students will participate in an advanced reading course that will prepare them to take the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT). Upon receiving a pre-defined achievement score on the PERT, students will be enrolled in the college Student Life Skills (SLS) course as an eighth grade student on the middle school campus and will earn three college credits.
