FSCJ’s Spring Jazz Ensembles, Symphonic Band and Choral Concerts

Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) Jazz Ensembles, Symphonic Band and Chorale are presenting their spring 2015 musical concerts.
WHAT: |
All of the events are free and open to the public. The concerts will present a diverse collection of musical selections and compositions that will entertain and inspire.
Jazz Concert
Under the direction of Mr. John Thomas, director of jazz studies and professor of saxophone and Dr. Paul Weikle, director of bands and professor of low brass, the Jazz Ensemble I and Jazz Ensemble II will present their 2015 Jazz Festival. This concert will also feature guest artist Troy Roberts an Australian saxophonist.
Symphonic Band Concert
Under the direction of Dr. Paul Weikle, director of bands and professor of low brass, and Mr. John Thomas, director of jazz studies and professor of saxophone, the Symphonic Band Concert offers a robust range of music options. The concert will also feature guest artist Dr. William Gora.
Choral Concert
Under the direction of Dr. Timothy Workman, along with collaborative pianist Bonita Wyke, the women’s chorus, men’s chorus and concert choral will present their Choral Concert entitled Cathedral Classics.
Each of these concerts showcases the amazing talent and range of FSCJ students.
