FSCJ to Host Business Speaker Series Event on Navigating Student Loan Debt

WHAT:           As part of the Business Speaker Series, Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) will host “Navigating Student Loan Debt: A Collective Approach to Tackling the Crisis,” with Financial Health Network Senior Manager Brenton Peck. Mr. Peck will guide attendees through discussions on the student debt crisis, financial modifications to support students and families, the impacts of financial health on student success, and ways to quickly pay off student loan debt.

Leading projects focused on improving people’s financial health, Mr. Peck thrives on opportunities to engage leading institutions on the forefront of financial health, including top-tier banks and credit unions, colleges and universities, next-generation digital platforms and national nonprofits. He has held positions at the Filene Research Institute, J.P. Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo. He has an MBA from the Dunham School of Business at Aurora University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Illinois State University.

All are welcome to attend this free event, including students, guardians and educators. Online registration is required. Visit fscj.edu/business-speakers to register and learn more.

The Business Speaker Series was made possible by a $250,000 commitment from First Florida Credit Union to support initiatives that will help local students and community members become future business leaders. The funding helped launch the series and will bolster the College’s Financial Skills Academy over the span of five years.
