Dr. Cynthia Bioteau is wrapping up her first week meeting new faces and getting a lay of the land.

Bioteau said it will take six months or so before she implements and major changes.

"Workforce development is a key aspect of what I think I bring as a strength in leadership," said Bioteau in sharing her vision for the college  and working with local businesses.

On another front, the new college president says she is well aware of the problems the school  had in the past year with her predecessor  resigning following questionable spending practices.

"I will just be holding all of our feet to the fire starting with mine," she said, pointing out accountability is best way to earn trust.

Florida State College has five campuses on the First Coast with an enrollment of full and part time students topping 60,000.
