Here's a list we don't mind being on: the Department of Education's listing of public colleges and universities (four yr. & above) with the lowest tuition.

From the National Association of College and University Business Officers: The National Center for Education Statistics recently published a series of college cost and affordability lists, highlighting institutions with the highest and lowest tuition and net price and those with the highest increases in those figures.

Florida State College at Jacksonville's tuition is noted as being among the most affordable of four-year public colleges and universities in the nation.

Based on figures from the 2010-2011 academic year, at $2,450 (estimated expense for in-state, full-time, beginning undergraduate students), FSCJ is well below the national average, which is $6,669. The report is produced by the U.S. Department of Education's College Affordability and Tranparency Center.
