Florida State College engages in (non)hostile takeover of Hayden Burns Library!

The Hayden Burns Library was the scene of a peaceful—albeit sometimes rowdy and exciting—takeover by Florida State College at Jacksonville during the March 2010 Downtown Art Walk. Dean Charles Smires and Choral Director R. Wayne Bailey prepared the public on WJXT’s Morning Show. Student Mark Mansulungan wowed the Morning Show audience with a rousing rendition of “Joshua” live in the studio. That night, the Chorale, along with the Jazz Ensemble, the Dance Ensemble and students of visual arts, digital media and just about every other imaginable art form made themselves at home and practically raised the roof on the library.
