Coffee with a Cop

The BlueWave baseball team participated in “Coffee with a Cop” hosted at North Campus. The team got a chance to interact with police officers and challenge the officers to competitive games of foosball and air hockey.

“Coffee with a Cop” initiative is meant to bring citizens and law enforcement together in a neutral and relaxing environment. The goal is to get a conversation started and build trust and rapport between police officers and citizens they serve.

“Coffee with a Cop” first started in 2011 in California with a local department wanting to better understand the needs of the community members. It has since spread to all 50 states and across Canada, Europe, Australia and Africa.
