As Florida Governor Scott has officially proclaimed April as Florida College System Month, Florida State College at Jacksonville President Cynthia Bioteau, Ph.D., demonstrates in her Letter to the Editor many ways in which FSCJ, and open-access education in general, play such an important role in our community and in society.
