Carl Rouse: At Home at FSCJ

The things that I learned here at the school have helped me to not only become a full-time, permanent employee, but I also have advanced on my job twice. I think if you are willing to put the effort in, yeah, it can be a big advantage to you.

Veteran Carl Rouse was dealing with dire circumstances, including homelessness, when he started classes at FSCJ and was about to give up. He credits the personalized assistance he received from FSCJ advisors and programs and access to equipment and facilities, in making it possible for him to enter and eventually complete the B.A.S. in Supervision and Management in 2013. With a new life that includes a great job, a new home and a happy marriage, Carl still comes back to the FSCJ Learning Lab to study for the GRE, with plans to enter graduate school.
