FSCJ Economics Professor Roman Cech, Ph.D., was invited to explain what it could mean if we were to go over the Fiscal Cliff on December 31. First Coast News Anchor and On Point Host Shannon Ogden interviewed Dr. Cech in a program that aired Dec. 16, 2012.
As the Fiscal Cliff loomed eerily before us, Dr. Roman Cech was called on to explain the realities of the situation from his perspective as an economist. The highly publicized and anticipated meeting between House Speaker John Boehner and President Obama yielded no solutions. But was this truly an economic crisis about to happen? Had politics superceded any effort to help people understand what the lack of action might represent and affect?
