Art Walk, Warm Weather, Cool Happenings!

Always the same time (first Wednesday of the month, 5-9 p.m.) and the same place (Downtown Jacksonville), but there's always something new to see, hear, (and eat and drink, too) at Art Walk. Exercise your body and your mind! The Florida State College Network hits the streets for a walking tour tonight. "Sew Artistic" is the theme for March 2011, with several galleries and other venues highlighting the Art of Fashion. Pick up a map at almost any of the venues and discover something new. Hemming Plaza will be alive with music, dance, food and art, something to stimulate all the senses. The Main Library will unveil the Imagination Squared exhibit in its new home. The Fine Arts Department of Florida State College is taking over the "old" Library at 122 Ocean Street. Live jazz, choral music, dance and all the arts from painting and sculpture to culinary will be on display for you to experience. Art Walk is a production of Downtown Vision, celebrating 10 years of service to Downtown (and kicking it up a notch every First Wednesday).
