Alumni Spotlight: Artist Finds True Passion

Sharla Valeski found her true passion during her college years. She credits Florida State College at Jacksonville for setting her on the path which led her to becoming an art gallery owner and designer.
Sharla Valeski is a proud (then) FCCJ graduate. She is the owner and designer of The Next Gallery Studio 5. It's part of Jacksonville’e new art district called CoRK, located at the corner of Rosella and King.
She has been an artist since she attended the college, and she took her first design class. But it wasn't just her art classes that helped her become a business woman. Valeski says classes like psychology and statistics gave her the confidence to go out explore and learn the business world.
