FSCJ to Host Open Forums and Board Interviews for Presidential Candidate Finalists

WHAT:  Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) is hosting open forum sessions and District Board of Trustees (DBOT) interviews during April 2-3 for the three presidential candidate finalists under consideration to serve as FSCJ’s new president.

On Tuesday, April 2, each candidate will participate in one morning forum session and one afternoon session to accommodate schedules for those interested in attending. The forums will be held at FSCJ’s Advanced Technology Center and will be live streamed at live.fscj.edu

On Wednesday, April 3, the FSCJ DBOT will meet with each candidate for an in-depth interview about their experience and interest in leading FSCJ. The interviews will be held at the FSCJ Administrative Offices and will be live streamed at live.fscj.edu.

The three finalists are:

• Dr. John Avendano, president and CEO, Kankakee Community College, Kankakee, Illinois
• Dr. Natalie Harder, chancellor South Louisiana Community College, Lafayette, Louisiana
• Dr. David Sam, president and professor Elgin Community College, Elgin, Illinois
