FSCJ will be closed for spring break from Monday, March 17 – Sunday, March 23, 2025. We look forward to serving you when we return on March 24.
WHAT: Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) will host the CTE Cyber Security Career Pathways Florida Summit for Career and Technical Education (CTE) directors, K-12 educators, college faculty and business leaders. Representatives from the National Security Agency and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), as well as state CTE, regional high schools, colleges and business leaders will also attend to share their ideas and insights.
This event is being hosted as part of FSCJ’s participation in a national study, held across 6 states, to determine how cybersecurity career pathways are included in K-12 and college clusters. The ultimate goal of this event is to identify a process for creating new career pathways and curriculum in Florida.
The national study will identify how new career pathways and curriculum flows from the business community to schools and through the state education system. The study will also consider who in the state owns the decision making on that process. The six participating schools across the nation could be eligible for funding from the National Security Agency (NSA) and/or U.S. Department of Education (DOE) to implement some of the ideas resulting from the study.
Lunch will be provided. Registration is required: http://eventbrite.com/e/cte-cyber-security-career-pathways-florida-summit-tickets-55600587855
